MWFP Replacement

The MWFP filter is a twist-in cartridge used in many GE and affiliated brand refrigerators to purify water and ice. It helps reduce contaminants and improve taste and safety of dispensed water.

MWFP Key Features

Filters and reduces chlorine taste/odor, lead, cysts, and traces of five pharmaceuticals (e.g. ibuprofen, trimethoprim, fluoxetine, progesterone, atenolol).

Uses a carbon block filtration medium and is rated for approximately 300 gallons or 6 months of use under normal conditions.

Operates with a twist-lock installation, requiring no tools or mess for replacement.

Engineered to match factory specifications including flow rate (≈ 0.5 gpm), pressure range (40–120 psi), and filter footprint.

Compatible with many GE, Hotpoint, and Kenmore refrigerators using the MWF / MWFP series; replaces the older MWF style filter.
