Dryer High-Limit Thermostat & Thermistor Assembly

The WP8557403 combines a high-limit thermostat and thermistor function to monitor and regulate internal dryer temperature. It acts as a safety cutoff by interrupting heating if the temperature exceeds safe limits and provides temperature feedback to the control system.

Key Features:

• Dual-function design: high-limit cutoff (L295-80°F / approx. 146.1 °C) plus internal thermistor sensing

• Mounted on the heating element housing (inlet side) for direct thermal response

• Thermistor resistance ~50–60 kΩ at room temperature

• Low internal resistance under normal conditions to minimize voltage drop

• Single spade terminal interface for wiring connection

• Compatible with a range of Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Amana dryer models using WP8557403 or 8557403 as the safety/temperature sensor part number
